NON-ADHESIVE SURFACES

Non-adhesive surfaces – Stick correctly, last a long time with Dutha.

Dutha's drill-free wall-mounted trays, shelves, and boxes are designed to adhere securely to many common household surfaces. However, for optimal adhesion and long-lasting durability, users need to understand which surfaces are NOT suitable for mounting.

Incorrect mounting on the wrong surface will not only reduce adhesion but also affect the user experience and product lifespan.

Why are some surfaces non-adhesive?

Dutha adhesive works best on flat, smooth, waterproof, and non-peeling surfaces.
Porous surfaces, poorly painted surfaces, dusty surfaces, or surfaces with a rough texture will prevent the adhesive from creating a strong bond.

These are the surfaces where Dutha products should NOT be applied.

❌ 1. Poor quality paint on the walls, paint peeling off.

  • The paint is old, powdery, and easily peels off.
  • The adhesive may adhere to the paint but not to the original wall.
  • After a short time, the product easily falls off or the adhesive peels off.

=> Recommendation: Scrape off the weak paint layer or switch to another surface.

❌ 2. Rough cement walls, untreated walls

  • The surface is porous with many tiny holes.
  • The adhesive cannot spread evenly and create the necessary adhesion.
  • The adhesive easily peels off under load.

=> Recommendation: Do not use adhesive directly on this surface.

❌ 3. Rough tiles, textured imitation stone tiles, embossed tiles

  • Uneven surface, grooves, or raised particles
  • Incomplete contact of the adhesive → reduced adhesion

=> Recommendation: Only apply to smooth, glossy ceramic tiles.

❌ 4. Wallpaper and decorative decals for walls.

  • The paper or decal layer peels off easily when removed.
  • The adhesive sticks to the coating, not the wall.
  • It can easily damage the surface when removed.

=> Recommendation: Do not apply to surfaces with removable decorative coatings.

❌ 5. Unpainted or unsanded plaster and wood surfaces.

  • Wood absorbs moisture, surface is unstable.
  • Adhesive does not provide optimal bonding strength.

=> Recommendation: Only apply to glossy wood or smooth laminate.

These surfaces are GOOD ADHESIVES – recommended for use

To ensure Dutha products perform to their full design potential, prioritize applying them to:
